A BAND who boast they'd rather do it with Madonna than the likes of Britney Spears will be singing about Madge when they come to Wolverhampton.

The Androids had been together less than a year when their single, Do It With Madonna, hit the stores in Australia and started everyone talking.

That single has since hit the British charts and the band are ready to do it at The Little Civic, North Street, Wolverhampton, on Sunday, June 15.

Original band members Matt, Marty and Tim are old friends who played in various bands together over the years.

"I've been planning this my whole life," says Tim.

"We wanted to start up a band that we all wished we'd always been in."

The trio became four when they met Sam Grayson. And so The Androids were born.

Self-financed, with no name and no record deal, the four boys went into the studios with producers Pete Dacy and Adrian Hannan.

"We just wanted to record an album. We thought the rest would fall into place - and it did," explains Tim.

"On the album you can feel the energy. Everyone loved making the record and they were doing it for the right reasons.

"Some of the songs were ones I'd written before deciding to form the band, some were written as we were going along.

"I'm really conscious of melody and I like to tell a story.

"This is the album of my life, because it's the best songs, and it's the best I'm singing and it's the best bunch of guys."

The Androids will be supported by The Koreans.
