Racehorse owner Jim Lewis, whose horse Best Mate is a twice winner of the Cheltenham Gold Cup, will be the special guest at a race night with a difference.
The Grant Gold Cup Afloat Race Night Cruise is being held on board the MV Conway Castle, at Upton, on Thursday, June 10. It will include a best Ascot-style hat competition which will be judged by Mr Lewis, from Callow End.
The event is being organised by Upton Rotary Club to raise money for Rotary International's campaign to eradicate polio throughout the world.
Tickets are £12.50, to include a ploughman's supper, available from Anenome Studios in High Street and The Flower Ring in Old Street.
