FUNDRAISERS laid out a mile of coins they collected for charity.
As part of the Macmillan Cancer Charity's Miles Challenge, organisers took donations for signatures on a mile of ribbon donated by Hunts Florist.
They showed off the £1,613 they collected, which was boosted by an auction of goods autographed by celebrities, on the Barnards Green roundabout last Friday.
Hilary Al Rasheed, from Holland Funeral Service, which organised the charity event, said: "We didn't quite reach a mile of signatures but we got more than mile of coins and it's a fundraising event after all.
"We took ribbons to nursery and primary schools, nursing and residential homes, local businesses and had one at Holland. So it was a wonderful project because the whole community got involved.
"We've already had people coming up to us asking if we're going to run the event again next year. All I can say is start collecting those coins."
