KARATE students gathered recently at Dyson Perrins School, Malvern for a one day training course and grading examination held by the English Wado-Ryu Sport Karate Association.

Several top instructors were on hand to give expert tips on self-defence, including the head coach of EWSKA Mr Clayton Murrain (7th Dan) and Mr Jounier Taylor (3rd Dan) who runs clubs in Malvern and Bromyard.

Over 100 students took part including participants from local clubs in Malvern, Ledbury, Bromyard, Leominster and Hereford.

The Malvern club trains at Christ Church Hall in Avenue Road every Wednesday from 6pm and the Bromyard club meet at 6.30pm every Friday at the Heritage Centre. Ledbury EWSKA students train from 6.30pm in Tuesday at the Leisure Centre.

Everyone is welcome to come along and train from age six upwards, male or female, beginner to black belt.
