WORCESTERSHIRE have decided not to seek a replacement for their South African all-rounder Andrew Hall when he is away on duty with his country for the triangular one-day series with England and Zimbabwe.
The County will be severely hit for the best part of a month with Vikram Solanki and Kabir Ali also involved in the competition after their England call-ups yesterday.
Hall has quickly made an impact at New Road since arriving three weeks ago from South Africa's Test and one-day series in Bangladesh.
But Worcestershire's director of cricket Tom Moody has decided not to look for short-term cover and has faith in the depth of his squad.
Moody said: "We are not looking for anyone else at this stage. Andrew Hall is an excellent cricketer but we are backing our depth.
"It's a chance for other lads to shine and we'll only re-address the situation if we run into any injuries.
"It will be a chance for people to try and seize and follow the example of Vikram and Kabir, who are now in the England squad, is all the incentive needed.
"Of course, they are fine players but we feel it is part of things as a county club to try and produce players for England and that has to be the ultimate goal for any player."
Worcestershire's other South African player, paceman Nantie Hayward, is not part of the touring party as he has made himself unavailable for his country during the current domestic season in England.
