ALL this month the British Heart Foundation is encouraging people in Worcestershire to show their support for children with heart defects.
The charity is selling red ribbons for its "Wear Red for Heart" campaign, with all funds raised going towards providing specialist nursing, support and advice.
From Tuesday, June 10 to Saturday, June 14, the Worcester British Heart Foundation shop will go a step further by inviting people into the store each day for coffee if they buy a ribbon.
Catherine Neary, manager of the Mealcheapen Street store, said they hoped it would attract a lot of interest.
"In the 1960s only one in five babies born with serious heart defects survived," she said.
"Today four in five babies survive thanks to the British Heart Foundation and its supporters."
