WORCESTER City's Jon Holloway has received a boost after his red card against Dover on the final day of the season was rescinded.
The Football Association took the decision after match referee Michael O'Keefe looked at video evidence over the defender's dismissal in City's 2-1 defeat, and agreed it was a case of mistaken identity.
City captain Carl Heeley, who was also sent off but in another incident, was identified as the culprit in the Holloway incident and should have received the red card instead.
Heeley, who has not missed a league match in the last three seasons, will now face a three-match suspension at the start of next season.
Meanwhile City manager John Barton is waiting to finalise a date for the club's pre-season friendly with Premiership new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers.
City already have home friendlies fixed up against Coventry City on July 23, Queen's Park Rangers on July 28 and West Bromwich Albion on July 30.
