Traders in Bengeworth, Evesham, celebrated the town's history last weekend in an effort to secure their own future.
Shop owners in the area have suffered a slowdown in the economy in recent years due a number of issues, including floods and the effects of foot-and-mouth disease.
So in order to attract customers back, they organised a special mediaeval festival.
Among the attractions available were Morris dancers, stilt walkers, battle re-enactments as well as a mini fairground and scores of trade stalls.
