A MAN who broke his community rehabilitation order by stealing a bottle of alcohol has been fined.
Adam Rose, aged 19, stole the bottle of Martini from the Co-op, in St John's, Worcester, on Wednesday, May 21, Worcester magistrates heard yesterday.
Mr Rose, an unemployed labourer, from Henwick Road, St John's, Worcester, had a drink problem, the court was told.
He had "shoved" the Martini down his trousers and had been spotted by the store detective.
Brian O'Connell, defending, said Mr Rose had not even attempted to leave the store, but had sat down near the entrance, wondering what to do.
"He sat down because he was thinking whether he should take the Martini back," he said.
"But he realised he had already committed the offence. He co-operated fully with the police."
Mr Rose pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay a fine of £50 and £50 costs.
