A DOCTOR who is cycling the length of Britain is on course to complete his challenge in just a week.
Andrew Horn, who works at Ombersley Medical Centre, is travelling from Land's End to John O'Groats to raise funds for Reach, a charity for children born with upper limb deformities.
Dr Horn has been helped by Pedmore Sporting Club, which donated a cycle to take on the 1000-mile challenge
In the first leg of his journey, from Land's End to Exeter, he warmed up with a gentle 120 miles and by the second day covered a further 150 miles to sleep in his own bed at home in Ombersley.
His daughter, Bethan, said her father, who set off on Sunday morning, had now reached Lancaster and was still in very good spirits.
"He's always been fit and he cycled from Wales to Worcester in his preparation for this challenge, so he's been getting in lots of practice." she said
