POLICE are appealing for information after a motorcyclist drove the wrong way up the Alvechurch Highway before colliding with another vehicle.
The incident happened on Friday, May 23, and involved a motorcyclist and his passenger.
A police car behind the motorcyclist was trying to stop the rider, but the motorcyclist allegedly rode on through a red light.
He went around the island at Sainsburys and went the wrong way up the A441 Alvechurch Highway where he was in collision with a Vauxhall Corsa.
The passenger on the motorbike was treated for minor injuries at the Alexandra Hospital and the rider was detained overnight for observations.
An investigation into the collision is under way and police are appealing for anyone who saw the motorcyclist prior to the collision at the traffic lights on the A441 before Sainsburys or at the roundabout.

And officers are appealing for witnesses after a car hit a tree in Bromsgrove Road on Sunday.
The crash left a 21-year-old passenger in hospital with serious internal injuries.
The driver of the Rover 214 escaped with minor injuries.
But police are particularly keen to speak to the driver of a dark coloured car reported to be in the area at the time and who may have important information.
The crash happened at about 11.20pm near Cherry Tree Walk.
