THERE are few occasions when the entire cast of a stage production appear to be on an equal footing.
And fewer times still when all are deserving of the rich applause they received - but Mrs Warren's Profession at the Festival Theatre, Malvern, is one of those rare gems.
Hats off to the Malvern six in this absorbing and amusing Sir Peter Hall Company production, especially Twiggy Lawson (Mrs Warren) and Jeremy Clyde (Sir George Crofts), her rascally partner in a somewhat shady hotel business where the extras are somewhat costly.
Morality, hypocrisy, the county-set, sexual liberation and much more are all delightfully explored in this Bernard Shaw play. AW
