A NEW production of George Feydeau's French comedy Where There's A Will opens at Malvern's Festival Theatre on Monday.
West End star Elaine Paige takes on the main role of Angele in this classic farce directed by Sir Peter Hall.
Described as 'The First Lady of British musical theatre,' Elaine has starred in Evita, Cats, Chess and Sunset Boulevard and also Peter Hall's non-musical production The Misanthrope.
The play, 'a delightful romp through the intricacies of extra-marital intrigue,' tells the tale of a husband teaching a friend to become his wife's lover, without the slightest idea he is doing so.
Also starring is Nicholas Le Prevost as husband Ribadier.
He was nominated for an Olivier Award for his performance in Peter Hall's An Absolute Turkey.
RSC actor David Warner, whose acclaimed performances include Hamlet and Richard II, plays the role of the friend, Thommereux.
His films include Straw Dogs, Titanic and The Company of Wolves.
Where There's A Will plays until June 14 and tickets cost £16-24 on 01684 892277 or from www.malvern-theatres.co.uk
