THE results of a year-long consultation on how residents and organisations would like to see Redditch develop over the next two decades is to be unveiled today.
The 20:20 Vision Redditch Community Strategy document sets out the results of extensive consultation with the public and private sector and residents on how Redditch Partnership can work to improve the economic, environmental and social wellbeing of the town by the year 2020.
The document, which sets out short, medium and long-term priorities, also discloses how progress will be monitored in the next five to 10 years and features residents' real hopes for the future of the town.
Today's launch at the town hall will see key organisations, members of Redditch Partnership, councillors, directors and officers in attendance.
The document will be widely available to the public after the launch.
The 20:20 Vision project follows Government proposals to create "Local Strategic Partnerships" bringing public, private, voluntary and community groups together to work to a common goal.
The consultation took place through a series of events, on-line questionnaires, neighbourhood group meetings, dialogue with minority groups and youth conferences.
