BARRY Manilow's exciting musical Copacabana arrives at Birmingham's Alexandra Theatre on Tuesday with a cast headed by Gemma Craven.
Manilow's music together with lyrics by Bruce Sussman and Jack Feldman tell a tale of love, passion and romance set in the 1940s nightclub scene.
Based on the 1980's hit song written by Barry Manilow, Copacabana tells the story of Stephen, an aspiring songwriter whose imagination conjures up Lola, a hopeful showgirl.
Her path to stardom as a Copa Girl is helped by bartender Tony but the villainous Rico from rival nightclub Tropicana spots her and this fateful meeting makes his girlfriend Conchita jealous.
The role of Conchita is played by Gemma Craven who has many film, TV and stage credits to her name.
Louise Freeman plays Lola and Nik Stoter takes on the part of Tony.
Copacabana runs until June 21 and tickets cost £12.50-24.50 on 0870 607 7533.
