WORCESTERSHIRE won the toss and elected to bat first in their top-of-the-table Frizzell County Championship Division Two clash with Somerset at Bath today.
They made a confident start with openers Stephen Peters and Anurag Singh taking the score on to 20 without loss after seven overs against the Somerset opening attack of Nixon McLean and Simon Francis.
Australian paceman Mark Harrity was recalled to the Worcestershire side in place of Matt Mason.

A dogged century from skipper Chris Boroughs saved Herefordshire from defeat in their Minor Counties Championship Western Division clash with Shropshire at Luctonians.
His 107 occupied six hours and 327 balls with 19 fours, and with help from Martin McCague (62), Nick Davies (53no) and Karl Pearson (48), Herefordshire closed on 334-6 in their second innings.
