Six members of the Worcestershire Grasstrack Club made the long journey to Much Hoole near Preston for a meeting and suffered mixed fortunes.
Three riders were plagued with machine problems all day in the 500cc adult event.
Scott Francis and Hadrian Garner both turned in good heat performances but the star of the day from the club was Martin Williams.
He had five straight wins in his races, each one by a clear margin.
But with victory at his mercy he took a nasty start-line fall in his last heat, therefore not being allowed in the re-run, due to bike damage and medical advice.
A reminder that the club runs its Acorns Children's Hospice Trust meeting on Sunday at Offerton Farm, Hindlip.
Start time is at 1pm with practice from 11am.
