TWO men walking home from a friend's 21st birthday party were left unconscious by a gang of attackers.
One victim is in hospital with serious injuries and his pal needed treatment for minor wounds.
The pair had been walking home through Chawson, at midnight on Bank Holiday Monday, when a man they had a disagreement with at the party approached them.
He began speaking to them in the residents' car park off Celvestune Way, opposite Copcut Court, and a vehicle pulled up.
Several unknown people jumped out and punched both partygoers to the ground. The attackers then got back in the car and sped off.
Their victims were left unconscious and were eventually taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital, in Worcester, for treatment.
One of the men was released the same evening with minor injuries while the other remains in a stable condition after sustaining a serious head injury.
Droitwich bobby PC Andy Clarke is investing the attack and has appealed for anyone with any information on the attack to come forward.
"One man has been left with serious injuries and the perpetrator must be caught," he added.
People with information are asked to call 08457 444 888, quoting 65C/260503.
