A BOY of 15 was pushed off his mountain bike as two men tried to steal it.
Now police are appealing for two men, who helped the teenager, to come forward.
The incident happened at about 7.15pm last Wednesday when the teenager was riding his bike on Broad Street, Bromsgrove.
Two men shoved the boy off his bike and demanded his mobile phone. They searched his pockets when he said he didn't have one.
A man driving a grey car stopped and demanded the pair give the bike back. But the thugs tried to push the good samaritan back inside his car.
An ambulance driver checked the youth to see if he was injured. The second man then chased off the two offenders.
The teenager rode home and the police were called. But officers have no details of the three people who helped the youngster and need to speak to them as soon as possible.
They would also like to hear from anyone else who may have seen the incident and have not already spoken to the police.
The first offender is described as a white man wearing a baseball cap, black trousers and is aged between 18 and 25. The second is white, about 5ft 10in tall with short blond hair and a beige coloured jacket.
Anyone with information is being asked to call DC Kate Terris or Bromsgrove CID on 08457 444 888.
