TOWN revellers are being urged to don their glad rags and get on down for a night of soul, swing, pop and jazz.
A music festival, featuring more than 15 bands, will be held at the Hop Pole Inn this Saturday and Sunday. The festival will raise funds for mental health charity, MIND.
Pradip and Julie Bose, the owners of the Birmingham Road pub, were keen to support the charity and help sufferers to recover.
They have previously supported other charities including the Primrose Hospice and DEBRA, which helps people with the genetic skin condition Epidermolysis Bullosa.
This year's event has been jointly organised with Trevor Rigg, MIND chairman for Bromsgrove and Redditch. The festival will be officially opened by town Tory MP Julie Kirkbride on Friday.
Bands will include the Allen Francis Swing Band, Soul Trader, Dark and Stormy, plus many more top acts.
Julie said: "We are keen to raise public awareness and promote the charity through this event. Pradip and myself hope that everyone thoroughly enjoys this weekend's festival and we look forward to the Hop Pole hosting many more successful musical events," she added.
The family festival, which will also includes a raffle and refreshments, will begin at 3pm on Saturday. Admission is free but donations for the charity are welcome.
