SPRINTER Daniel Fagan has added to his already impressive reputation by taking gold and silver medals at a Midlands event.
Fagan, aged 15, won the U17s 200m and was runner-up in the U17s 100m for Birchfield Harriers at Midland Counties Athletic Championships at Birmingham's Alexander Stadium on Saturday and Sunday, May 24 and 25.
The South Bromsgrove High School student, of The Furrows, recorded times of 22.22 seconds in the 200m, equalling his personal best and 11.2secs in the 100m, 0.1secs off his personal best.
He equalled his 11.2secs in winning his 100m heat and ran 22.4secs in the 200m heats.
Daniel is now working towards the English Schools National Championships at Sheffield in July.
Daniel, named Junior Male at Bromsgrove District Sports Council's annual awards, said: "I was happy because I didn't think I was going to get that."
