THE concert on May 17 was a success. The choir performed Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, conducted by Alma Bright, with excellent soloists and splendid pianoforte and organ accompaniment.
Although written as a 'Little Solemn Mass', the music was at times quite operatic and very moving.
On May 21, the society held the AGM to discuss the future.
New committee members were elected. Those retiring were thanked for all their hard work.
An Extraordinary General Meeting has been called for Wednesday, June 11, and it is important all members who are able to attend.
Rehearsals take place each Wednesday evening from 7.45pm at the Methodist Church Hall, Alcester Street.
