TENBURY town councillors have thrown out allegations of maladministration brought by Anthony Reeve over issues relating to Tenbury Tennis Club.
At Monday's Town Council meeting it was proposed by the mayor, Councillor Janice Gluyas, and seconded by Councillor Keith Griffiths, "that there has been no maladminstration by this council".
After a short discussion, councillors voted in favour of the proposal unanimously.
Councillor George Price said: "While I agree that the council is not guilty of maladministration, many of the decisions taken with regard to the tennis club were ill-conceived and foolish."
Tennis club secretary, Peter Beavis, speaking after the meeting, said: "The council did not address the charge and has failed to pursue the claim of £108. The council should either take us to court or waive payment by the club."
Mr Reeves declined the council's invitation to attend the meeting and was unable to comment on the decision.
