PARISH COUNCIL: At the final meeting before the election, the chairman John Simpson, who has served on the parish council for about 18 years with Betty Foster serving 28 years. Thanks also to Kath Kavanagh with her valuable village experience. All three will be a big loss to the council with the roles they have covered in over 50 combined years.

Severn Waste - Coun J Timms summarised the liaison meeting he had attended on April 10.

Coun C Clarke had attended a Waste Management meeting on March 27. A memo from county coun E Tucker summarised details of the meeting.

Village Clean Up - Thanks to the 14 people who turned up (only nine families) and also Coun C Clarke and his wife who had been round two days previously. The turnout was a poor response - villagers are quick to complain if the village is untidy. In excess of 20 bags of rubbish were collected and assorted parts of motor vehicles.
