THE Journal Series is leading by example by putting forward its own team for Evesham's first Race for Life - on Crown Meadow next Sunday, June 15.
Staff from the editorial and advertising departments are hoping to raise as much money as they can for Cancer Research UK.
Nearly 800 women have already signed up to take part in the Journal-backed event.
The target is a 1,000 female runners to either run or walk a 5K course.
Journal Editor John Murphy urged anyone who was able to take part.
"We whole-heartedly support this campaign - my wife Nicola has taken part for the last three years. It really is an example of girl power at its best."
