I HAVE been surprised over recent letters concerning the two rottweilers which are supposedly terrorising Habberley Valley.
I have regularly walked my dogs there for the last 20 years, have frequently come into contact with the aforementioned rottweilers and have found them friendly and not at all aggressive.
Many small dogs are to be found in the valley and I have never seen the rottweilers molest them.
It is extremely unlikely that any dog, however stupid, would mistake any other type of dog for a rabbit, and anyone who imagines that that could be a possibility shows considerable ignorance of canine behaviour.
