MIDFIELD lynchpin Danny Williams has agreed a new one-year contract to stay at Kidderminster Harriers.
The former Wrexham and Liverpool player had been linked with a number of clubs including Hull and newly promoted Hartlepool but has finally put pen to paper on a fresh deal.
Harriers manager Ian Britton said: "I haven't yet spoken to Danny but I have agreed the deal with his agent.
"I would have preferred him to have signed up for two years but I suppose a compromise is better than nothing.
"Danny is coming off the back of a good season for us and I will be looking for him to build on that next season."
Aggborough chairman Colin Youngjohns said the club was delighted to secure the services of the 24-year-old, who is likely to spearhead their charge for a Third Division play-off slot.
"We are very happy Danny has decided to commit himself to Harriers for another 12 months and I'm sure our supporters will be pleased," said Youngjohns.
"His great strength is his reliability and consistency and he's an integral part of the team."
Youngjohns added: "We are very comfortable with the way things are moving and we are optimistic for the coming season.
"Our objective is to make the play-offs and we are really going to go for it and strengthen the side to do that."
