WYRE Forest Breast Feeding Support Group celebrated its first anniversary by throwing a birthday party at Kidderminster Health Centre.
The group, run by Wyre Forest Birth Centre midwife Penny Turton and community midwife Karen Chapman, was set up to support women breast feeding.
Meetings are held from 1pm until 3pm on Thursdays, in Kidderminster Health Centre, and are open to all mothers.
Mrs Turton, who has worked in the district for the last 18 years, said the support group was launched to celebrate last year's National Breast Feeding Awareness Week, which promotes the health benefits of breast feeding.
These include a smaller risk of babies contracting infections and stomach upsets and a decreased risk of mothers suffering some forms of breast cancer.
Mrs Turton said: "Between six and 10 mums come each week for a cup of tea and a chat in a friendly, informal atmosphere.
"We're open to absolutely anyone in the Wyre Forest area," she added.
