CLUB captain Phil Wheeler, brandishing a new three wood and assisted by B team captain John Cook, helped Evesham wrestle a 2 & 1 victory from Roger Crisp and Rob Morgan in the home match against Droitwich.
Wheeler and Cook had been three down at one stage but a change in the playing order at the tenth tee resulted in five of the next six holes being won by the Evesham pair.
Teammates Hywel Jones and Peter Callaghan had a three-hole advantage at one stage of their match but a spirited fightback gave them a fright before they managed to hold on for a victory at the final hole.
Graham Hughes and Neil Sheppard and Barry Alcock and Alan Hyde both won their matches.
In the last match out, Chris Phillips and Ian Tarry were also victorious. Peter Law-rence and George Marston, though, lost their match.
Evesham's 5-1 victory maintains a string of good results for the B team this season.
