FIRE fighters in Kidderminster are set to swap their hoses for sponges in a bid to raise cash for charity.
Kidderminster Fire Station in Castle Road will hold a charity car wash on Saturday.
Money raised will go to Women's Aid, which supports victims of domestic violence, and the Fire Service National Benevolent Fund.
Blue Watch firefighter Andrew Birch said the team was hoping for a sunny day.
"The amount we manage to raise varies - some of our car washes have raised £1,600 and others about £400.
"We did one six weeks ago and that raised about £500.
"The weather helps, so we're hoping for a good day."
Car washing will take place from 10am until 2pm and the minimum donation per vehicle will be £2.
