A NATIONWIDE campaign to protect children from the dangers of the internet kicked off in Kidderminster yesterday.
Representatives from churches, schools and libraries attended a workshop and were shown how the web and new technology could present a danger to youngsters.
"Safety Net" was launched at the Learn Direct Centre in Callows Lane, Kidderminster, before embarking on a nationwide tour.
The workshop - organised by the Independent Television Commission - taught youth leaders about mobile phones and the internet in an attempt to close the "widening IT skills gap between adults and children".
