BRILLIANT sunshine greeted Littletons' Junior 2nd and 3rd Series Tournament when 43 juniors competed for six trophies with all seeded players winning through.
Sponsored by R Sinclair Transport Ltd and now in its fourth year, it is a popular event for junior players from all over the country.
In the ten and under boys, home youngster George Ricketts played excellently to win a closely contested final against Jonathan Byrd (Alcester).
A consistency and range of shots from Ricketts proved too much for his younger opponent as the Hereford and Worcestershire county ace won 4-1, 4-1.
In the Girls Open, some thrilling tennis was played and doubters of the potential juniors in England should have witnessed the effort these young girls went through in the extreme heat.
In the third round Stacey Fieldhouse from Manor Park, Malvern played an exciting match against Marianne Lancaster from Solihull.
The latter had to play to her full potential to progress to the semi-final where she met Abbey Tugwood (Shipston).
The Shipston girl couldn't repeat her surprising performance from Saturday when she beat Jessica Lloyd, a much higher rated player, as Lancaster ran out a 6 -0, 6-0 winner.
The Solihull girl met Pershore's Holly Johnson in the final and won 6-1, 6-3.
The Open boys final was won for the second year running by Callum Bailey, a 5.2 from Stratford.
The tournament was a success for the club's own members with seven of the juniors in action - some for the first time.
