AN exhibition charting the history of Stourport shops since the 19th century is on display at the town's library until June 14.
Stourport Civic Society has been researching the past of more than 20 shops in High Street and York Street and is now appealing for more information to complete the project.
The original name and use of each premises - along with historic and up-to-date photographs - are on show but gaps remain in the history of some of the businesses.
Civic society secretary Jill Fairbrother Millis said: "The aim of this project is to provide a visible and accessible history of the town's shops and to offer existing shopkeepers a brief history of their premises for them to display."
She added: "We would welcome any old receipts, paper bags, newspaper adverts or business cards that people may come across to add to the history of each shop."
Anyone interested in becoming involved can contact Mrs Fairbrother Millis on 01299 827625 or Jean Reeves on 01299 823561.
