DREWE Broughton has been linked with a potential move to Southend United who are talking to a target man they are keen to sign.
Kidderminster Harriers' fellow Division Three club are after the player who is available for free despite still having a year left on his contract.
Boss Ian Britton has admitted 24-year-old Broughton has been allowed to talk to another club but would not name them.
The forward scored eight goals from 34 starts but did play second fiddle to Bo Henriksen and on-loan Andy Bishop at times.
Southend manager Steve Wignall did not name his wanted man but told their official website today: "I spoke to a centre forward this morning.
"He's still got a year to go on his contract with his current club but they are willing to release him.
"I have made him an offer and he has said that he will get back to me within the week and let me know either way.
"He's going away on holiday later next week and I'm going away on Saturday so I want to try and get something tied up as soon as possible.
"It's something I'm quite excited about really. He's in his mid-twenties so he's had quite a lot of experience for his age but still has young legs and he's a handful, so hopefully he'll decide to join us.
"We've made him an offer and it's down to him to make a decision."
