I WOULD like to add my two-pence worth regarding season ticket prices at Kidderminster Harriers.

I have purchased my seat in the new east stand, which is looking absolutely lovely, and paid £277 at the special discount rate.

This is the first time I have bought a season ticket.

Over the course of the season there are 23 home league games. This works out at £12 per match, which is not bad and is definitely better value than the £15 per match you will pay on matchdays.

I do not begrudge paying this money as a committed fan.

On returning to work on Tuesday, following Bank Holiday Monday, I found out Wolves' season tickets, paid in advance during last season, are only £315.

This is a difference of £38 to watch Premiership Football, Man United or Arsenal as opposed to Leyton Orient or Doncaster, although I accept you get four games less in the Premiership than the Nationwide League.

I also believe Walsall, in Division One, are only charging £9 per seat next year and have gambled with prices in an attempt to win floaters in the Birmingham and Stafford area.

While I do not think we will lose any fans because of this, it is genuine food for thought.

Although Harriers are skint and undoubtedly need the cash, I can't help but think they have priced themselves out of the market charging £15 per match to sit down.

However, I urge all genuine Harriers fans to help the club throughout the summer months by going to purchase a season ticket before June 7 when the discounted rates stop.

You will find the staff very helpful and will enjoy a season of entertainment in the Nationwide League.

I certainly do not want to see the club drop back into the Conference, so less of the apathy Kidderminster. Go and support the Harriers.
