ANOTHER busy week on the greens saw Broadway taste success in the first round of the Vernon Turner trophy and record another win over Bredon.
However, the weekend didn't start too well when they visited Evesham last Thursday for a Concorde League match and lost 100-84 when losing on three of the five rinks.
On Saturday Bredon was the venue for another Concorde League game and, after a very close game, the visitors emerged winners 101-90 winning on two rinks.
Dennis Hall's rink claimed 14 of the 17 shots scored on the last five ends to win convincingly 29-16, while Mark Rain-bow won well again 20-12 and Mick Aubrey drew 15-15.

Sunday morning saw the first round of the Vernon Turner Trophy and Broadway once again had to travel, this time to Cripplegate in Worcester to meet Brotherhood.
On a difficult and heavy green, they managed to win on three of the four rinks for an 85-72 success.
Hall and Paul Speake both won by 11 shots, while Colin Cooper finished three ahead.

In the third round of the EBA Top Club Competition, Broad-way defeated Ledbury 3-2 after a tight contest.
Mark Rainbow skipped the winning rink 31-10, while wins in the Triples and Pairs ensured victory after close losses in the singles games.
Andrew Walters lost an exciting game of four-wood singles 21-19 after 30 ends action of the highest standard. How-ever, Rainbow ensured victory with a comfortable win against former National Pairs winner Ian Maddox.
