A CONTRACTOR has been chosen to install closed-circuit TV cameras in Bidford but it could be up to four months before they are up and running.
Stratford District Council received final tenders for the work and said it would take only a week to install the cameras but it will be between 13 and 16 weeks until British Telecom carries out the connection work.
Chris Wood, who has responsibility for CCTV at Stratford District Council, said although the cameras would act as a deterrent before they were actually connected, the council did not want to lose the warranty before BT carried out their work so they will be installed nearer the time.
