AN ADVENTUROUS youth worker will be plunging into the deep when she swims with sharks in her latest charity challenge.
Clair Green, who works at Tolladine Community Centre, Worcester, will be mixing with basking and hammerhead sharks for up to an hour to raise money for research into Muscular Dystrophy.
The 19-year-old has already abseiled down the side of a castle for the RNIB and she hopes her dive into a tank of predators at the Blue Planet Aquarium, Chester, will be equally successful.
"I've already got my PADI diving licence after I went on a scuba diving course in Turkey, so that part of the challenge will be fine," said Miss Green.
"I'm just hoping they feed the sharks before I get into the tank with them."
Miss Green has raised nearly £1,000 for charities through her various fund-raising activities and she is aiming to skydive for the RNIB in September.
She will be diving in Chester on Wednesday, July 23. Anyone wanting to sponsor Clair can contact her on 07941 992584.
