TONIGHT (Friday) at the Bell Inn, a quiz night organised by the Parish Hall fundraising committee. Entry charge is £6 per team of four. They hope you can encourage friends and neighbours to form a team and join them for a fun evening. The quiz starts at 8pm.
There are still some outstanding survey forms and it would be much appreciated if you could drop them in at the village shop as soon as possible.
The Jubilee playground committee would like to record their thanks to their retiring chairman, Rachel McGill for her hard work over the last year. Her enthusiasm and organisational skills will be sorely missed by her colleagues when Rachel and her family move shortly to their new home. The playground committee are continuing to meet regularly to look at the options available and, following discussions at the annual parish meeting, are to meet with the parish council to discuss the way forward.
Holy Trinity Bosbury's Patronal Festival is to be celebrated with a weekend of fun in the village. On Friday, June 13 local musicians aged eight-80 will take part in a Music for All concert at the church at 7.30pm. Tickets are adults £5, children £2, family £12. Drinks and nibbles during the interval. The barn dance and BBQ on Saturday, June 14 will take place at the Parish Hall from 7.30pm to midnight. A fun evening with dancing, food and drink. Tickets are adults £4, children £2, family £10. On Sunday, June 15 there will be a Patronal Festival Communion at 11.15am followed by lunch in the Parish Hall.
The Rev Sue Strutt and the churchwardens hope you can join them on this special weekend. The regular monthly children's church service is at 10am on Whit Sunday, June 8.
