A PARTY of 34 boys, parents and friends from Malvern Town Wanderers U13s set off, for the second year in succession, on their Bank Holiday weekend tour of Belgium and Holland based in Mols, near Antwerp.
The tour started off in very wet conditions at FC Oda in Weert but this did not dampen the boys' spirits and they finished the first day with a win, a draw and three defeats against some very competent teams from both Belgium and Holland.
The second day saw an improvement in the weather. This time the tournament was based at ESV Eindhoven and the boys were a little shocked to see a very professional Glasgow Rangers boys team arrive in their club blazers and ties.
The Malvern boys rose to the occasion and came away with a creditable five draws and one defeat.
They were the only team not to be defeated by the Glasgow Rangers boys who went on to win the tournament without a loss.
