COMMUNITY groups interested in applying for money as part of a new Malvern Hills District Council initiative are being urged to do so before June 13.
Money is available as part of the Community Projects Grant Scheme to help projects and groups that will improve local services and the quality of life for the local community.
A total of £20,000 has been set aside and applications are welcomed from local voluntary and community groups, as well as charitable organisations within the district, for grants towards projects or equipment.
A grant contribution of up to 90 per cent of eligible costs, up to a maximum of £1,000, can be applied for per application. The applicant will be expected to match the grant from their own resources.
Application packs are available from MHDC's community and economic development section on 01684 862199, by emailing simon.smith@ malvernhills.gov.uk or by viewing the council's website on www.malvernhills.gov.uk.
Decisions on successful applications will be made by the district council's grants committee in July.
