ON a beautiful day at Stowe Lane, Colwall Seconds were put to the sword by the visiting Swindon.
COLWALL II V SWINDON II
Electing to bat first Colwall got off to poor start loosing five wickets for 19 runs. The wickets were shared between B Willis and C Henkel, the latter ending with figures of 11-3 from seven overs.
Colwall's middle order faired slightly better with E Hill (18) and M Berry (16) contributing valuable runs before both being out to good catches. Colwall were all out in the 34th over for a disappointing 77.
After tea Colwall applied some early pressure and took three wickets for 25 runs, however the total of 77 was never going to pose a problem with the visitors reaching the target in the 18th over.
