THE mother of Big Brother babe Nush Nowak has spoken of her excitement at her daughter taking part in the reality TV gameshow.
The 23-year-old vegetarian's mum, Elzbieta, also scotched stories that her daughter had been involved in a cult or had relied on mystics to plot her future.
"This mystic business and cult business really make me laugh. Some of the stories are ludicrous," she said.
"We did yoga together and have read a few books on enlightenment, the same kind of books as everyone else, but that's it."
The family home in Malvern, where Nush lives with her mum, dad David and seven-year-old brother Josef, has been besieged by the national Press ever since her identity was revealed two weeks ago.
But neighbours have rallied behind the family and agreed not to cash in on Nush's new-found fame, snubbing lucrative deals from national newspapers. The blonde student is hot favourite to win the show and scoop the £70,000 prize.
"At first it was a bit of a laugh when we saw reporters with walkie-talkies at either end of the road stopping everyone walking up the street," said Nush's friend and neighbour, Karen Heath.
"But now it's a bit of a chore. We've all decided that we're not going to speak to the national Press, we'll only speak to the local paper."
Her neighbours are glued to their television sets and often run from home to home filling in those residents unlucky enough not have E4 - which broadcasts the show almost constantly - on the latest gossip from inside the Big Brother house.
"We haven't got E4 so can only watch the show in the evening on Channel 4," said Mrs Heath, who is planning to organise a street party when Nush returns home.
"But if something happens, Gary Shaw across the road will run over and tell us - it's very exciting."
'There will be a fight in the
BB house'
FENG shui guru Paul Darby is predicting fisticuffs and intimacy during the next two weeks of Big Brother.
He believes Malvern contestant Nush has a very good chance of winning, a fight will break out in the garden and two girls will become "very close" during the next two weeks.
The Dao-Buddhist has been involved in the last three episodes of the Channel 4 reality TV show, and was charged with creating positive and negative areas of energy within the house.
"We designed the lawn area to be aggressive. There is too much greenery and there should be metals or objects to break the area up. I think people will soon clash here," he said.
"The decking area is very much a positive meeting area and I think two girls will become very close in this area of the house."
Other negative places in the house include the edges of the lounge's seating area, as straight lines are meant to give off negative energy. The kitchen and pool areas have been designed as neutral energy spots.
Justine is latest to leave
BIG Brother evictee Justine Sellman was getting used to life in the outside world today after she was booted out of the fly-on-the-wall house.
The sales manager from Leeds looked shocked, clasping her hands over her face as it was revealed that she was the second to leave the Channel 4 show, with 57 per cent of the public vote.
Loveable bore Jon Tickle escaped eviction for a second week after earning a cult following from viewers eager to hear more of his cringeworthy outbursts and ideas for wacky inventions.
Justine, aged 27, upped the ante during her last few days in the house in an attempt to increase the sex factor, and perhaps also her own popularity.
She revealed to her fellow housemates how she once had a threesome, as well as performing a raunchy dance with Tania and spending hours lounging around in a bikini.
But her provocative antics failed to endear her to Big Brother fans.
