FOUR women were robbed at knifepoint in two separate incidents in Worcester city centre over the weekend.
In the first incident, two young women were approached by a man at the Cornmarket.
He showed them a small Swiss army knife and demanded they give him their handbags.
They handed over their bags and the man ran off. The robbery took place on Saturday at 1.27am.
On the Saturday evening, at 10.31pm, another two women were approached by a man who was again armed with a Swiss army knife in City Walls Road.
The women were also told to hand over their handbags.
The robber then walked off and was last seen near the H A Fox Jaguar car store at the junction with St Martin's Gate.
The offender in both cases is described as white, approximately 25 years old, with short brown hair.
He said to be about 5ft 4ins tall and was wearing a blue polo shirt and blue jeans.
Police are linking the crimes and are appealing to anyone who witnessed the robberies, or who may have any idea about the identity of this man, to come forward.
