EVESHAM United's football ground at Common Road is on the verge of being sold.
The club has been anxious to move from the ground for more than a decade.
This week should see the future of United secured with a deal that would enable it to move to a new purpose-built site at Cheltenham Road.
Chairman Jim Cockerton announced some details at a presentation dinner last Friday and said this week that although contracts had not yet been exchanged, he was expecting to clinch the deal within the next few days.
The club faced strong opposition at the planning stages from residents around Cheltenham Road who formed the protest group, Ruralists Against Green Erosion, to object to the new site.
A Government ombudsman was consulted last year who concluded that the effects on nearby residents had been properly considered.
The club will be free to concentrate on the new ground in Cheltenham Road as soon as the deal on Common Road is complete.
Club agent Jim Powell said: "We are very close to achieving our aim to expand."
