YOUR correspondent Bill Davison (You Say, May 27) suggests that only the opinions of St John's residents should be published on the subject of Christopher Whitehead School.
As a ratepayer of the former Worcester City (County Borough) Council I contributed substantially towards the purchase of land and the building of Chrissies as did a large number of other Worcester people who were not St John's residents.
I wonder what, if anything, Mr Davison contributed?
While not unmindful of the concerns of residents, we naturally wish to ensure that our investment is used to the best advantage of the young people it was intended to benefit and no amount of political re-organisation and jiggery-pokery can change that.
JOHN HINTON, Worcester.
