SOCCER mad youngsters can keep active, occupied and off the streets with the latest summer schools being run by Worcester City Football Club.
The blue and whites are aiming to mix the fun training with a taste of the Premiership by combining top coaching with stadium tours at Manchester United and Aston Villa.
There is also an opportunity to become a mascot and meet Premiership newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers in the pre-season friendly against Worcester City.
"We've had really good success with our previous soccer schools and this summer is set to be our largest programme of coaching yet," said community officer Claire Maslen.
"Our after school training sessions have been really popular, we've had up to 70 children at Cranham Primary School alone.
We're hoping combining coaching with trips behind the scenes of two of England's biggest clubs will be just as popular."
Worcester City Councillor Mike Layland believes the scheme is a "fantastic opportunity" for children.
"It not only keeps kids out of trouble and active, but the chance for them to also visit trophy rooms and top grounds is a really wonderful idea."
Budding Beckhams can visit behind the scenes at Old Trafford, home of Manchester United, to see the dressing rooms, trophy room, players' lounge, club shop and its world famous museum.
In a second exclusive course, players can tour Villa Park, including its dressing rooms and trophy room and a one off opportunity to play in the state-of-the-art Villa Academy.
Both courses take place at Bishop Perowne High School, Merrimans Hill Road, Worcester, with the Manchester United training scheme from Monday July 28 to Friday, August 1.
A chance to win a place as the Wolverhampton Wanderers mascot is also been offered on this scheme. The Villa course runs from Monday, August 11 to Friday, August 15.
Summer schools will also be running at Peopleton Village Hall, Dyson Perrins High School, in Malvern, as well as a third course at Bishop Perowne.
