THE achievements of two Bromsgrove teams will be officially recognised tomorrow night (Thursday).
A civic reception is being held at the Council House, in Burcot Lane, to honour the efforts of Bromsgrove Rovers Football Club and Bromsgrove Rugby Football Club.
The evening has been set up by chairman of the council, councillor David Hancox (Con - Uffdown and Waseley), to mark the promotions of both clubs.
Bromsgrove RFC won the Midlands Two West championship in April after losing only one game all season.
Rovers' second place in the Midland Alliance was enough to win them promotion to the Dr Martens Western league by virtue of Stourbridge's ground not meeting league criteria.
Cllr Hancox said: "Both clubs were very successful last year.
"I think it shows that the town is thriving."
A presentation will be made to representatives of each club on the night.
