WEST Bromwich Albion's U21s side beat Bromsgrove Rovers by a single Simon Brown goal in a friendly encounter.
Brown hit the back of Matt Lowe's net on 27 minutes in what was primarily a practice match at The Victoria Ground.
Mark Scott, a teenage striker released by Albion this season, started up front in a trial for Rovers before Paul Danks replaced him in the second half.
