CARERS from around the county were given a much-needed chance to put their feet up yesterday.
As part of National Carers' Week, the Worcestershire Association of Carers has organised a series of events for the 57,000 people in Worcestershire who look after elderly or disabled relatives.
At Perdiswell Young People's Leisure Club, Bilford Road, Worcester, yesterday, the association organised a Pamper Day, where these unsung heroes were given a free alternative therapy session.
Carer Wenda Janes is pictured receiving an Indian head massage from Jamie Coady, a student at Royal National College for the Blind in Hereford.
The activities in Carers Week have been organised to give carers a break and a chance to do something different.
The week will end with an outing and information day at Evesham Country Park on Friday.
To make sure carers can come along, the association will arrange transport and respite.
For booking details and information about this week's other events, ring the Worcestershire Association of Carers on 01905 26500.
